About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join the School of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London, on the Leverhulme Fellowship ‘Managing Expectations: Reassessing the Promise of Consent’. The role represents an outstanding opportunity to contribute to cutting edge research on the cultural context of consent and to deepen our understanding of the critical role of consent as a cultural concept. The successful candidate will work across different disciplinary, discursive, institutional and affective registers, to develop research pathways, cultural resources, and case study material for the project.   

About the Candidate

You will have a keen interest in the subject areas reflected in the project ‘Managing Expectations: Reassessing the Promise of Consent’ and this interest will be reflected in a track record of research experience. You will be working towards a PhD in Cultural Studies, Media Studies, Gender Studies, or in a critical field in a related social science or humanity. You will have academic skills, knowledge and experience relevant to the main duties required by the role. Your contribution to the project will benefit your own development as an emerging scholar.
