Lecture in Fine Art Curating

Start date:  1 September 2021

From £39,306.20 to £43,783.32 pro-rata

New Cross, London

The Department of Art at Goldsmiths is hiring for an entry level post on its MFA Curating Programme. The Department is an international leader in the research and teaching of curating, with links to many prestigious institutions and university art departments around the world. We teach curating in a broad sense, with concern for future generations of curators and the future of the planet. We teach and research in a post graduate context that includes postgraduate taught programmes in Fine Art, Artists’ Film and Art and Ecology.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate both an engagement with their own practice, and a responsiveness to the varied and specific needs of those on this strongly student-centred course. Expertise in de-colonial thinking and postcolonial studies, or within the theories and practices of curating and the digital will be an advantage.  You will be a curator and/or academic with a professional record of international standing and will have experience of teaching in art school. The Department particularly invites applications from BIPOC and LGBTQ candidates.
