You will join a dynamic Anthropology department offering a range of undergraduate and post-graduate programs in an institution specializing in the social sciences and arts and humanities.

The Department has an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research as demonstrated in the results of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. You will have a PhD and teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will have a strong research and publication record, as well as administrative experience.

You will be expected to participate fully in research, teaching and administration. The normal teaching load is approximately 4 modules per annum, including core and option modules across the curriculum, as well as MA and research student supervision. There is regular rotation of teaching and administrative duties and members of the Department serve on a variety of College Committees.

While no particular regional specialisms are required, expertise in the areas of race, gender and transnational feminism would be an advantage.

All applicants are invited to submit a covering letter, foregrounding their research and teaching expertise and their suitability for the job, plus a curriculum vitae.

We are appointing this post for a start in January 2020.

Salary: Grade 8 (Lecturer B) £45,279 - £51,919 per annum (based on qualifications and experience)

The salary quoted above is inclusive of London weighting. The initial salary award will be dependent on the skills, experience and expertise of the successful applicant as detailed within the job description.
