The Subject of Education, based within the School of Mind, Body and Society, is one of the larger academic areas at Goldsmiths and is underpinned by a strong ethos of research and teaching excellence. It has a well established track record in international and funded research, a thriving doctoral community, large primary and secondary Initial Teacher Education programmes, a range of postgraduate provision, and a BA in Education.
This is a permanent, part-time role (0.8 FTE), 28 hours per week. The role-holder will primarily contribute to leadership, planning, and teaching across PGCE programmes. Depending on their qualifications and experience, they may also be expected to teach on the BA and MA programmes in Education and/or supervise students.
You will have a master's degree or above in education or a cognate discipline and significant recent and relevant experience (last three years) working as part of university-based Teacher Education Programmes. You will have a proven track record in strategic management, including involvement in self-evaluation and improvement planning activities.
