Director of Confucius Institute for Dance and Performance

Goldsmiths Confucius Institute is one of the academic departments in Goldsmiths offering joint degrees, as well as contextual courses, credit courses, and short courses in Chinese studies as well as Chinese arts and culture. Alongside this, the Confucius Institute hosts a range of events, activities and performances.
The Director will be responsible for CI’s academic development and delivery of relevant commercial projects and activities in accordance with Goldsmiths strategy, as well as building and maintaining relationships between partner institutions and organisations both nationally and internationally. The Director will also be responsible for the departmental finance, budgeting, planning, and management of the staff as well student support.
The candidate will be experienced in Higher Education both academically and managerially. The candidate will also be a self-motivator, extremely well organized with strong communication and negotiation skills. The candidate will also have excellent time management skills and will be comfortable meeting tight deadlines, as well as managing a diverse team of people.
