Goldsmiths, University of London, is one of the world’s most creative and progressive institutions with academic strengths in the creative arts, humanities and social sciences.

Our lively community of 10,000 students and 1,200 staff is drawn from across the globe to form a diverse and multicultural population, learning and working together on a vibrant and eclectic single site campus in South East London. We have nurtured the careers of outstanding alumni from every generation of students and support ground-breaking multi-disciplinary research.

We are seeking a new Director of Communications to help get this story across to new audiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the Communications Strategy for the College, leading a talented and award-winning integrated team of communications professionals.

You will have a proven track record of leadership within a complex organisation and will be flexible and versatile, with experience of delivering successful outcomes and managing change effectively. You will be a creative thinker who can draw on experiences of strategic communications to deliver successful and wide reaching campaigns and profile raising initiatives. You will also have extensive experience of issues management, and be a calm head in a crisis.

An excellent manager of people, you will have a sound understanding of stakeholder expectations, particularly students and staff, a commitment to professional excellence, and proven experience of collaborative working with both professional and academic colleagues.
