We are seeking a Counselling Manager to join the Counselling service within our Student Support Team (Counselling, Disability, Wellbeing and Multi-Faith Chaplaincy services). The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students’ physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
This is a key role for the University and the role-holder will have responsibility for delivering and developing the Counselling service at Goldsmiths, University of London. The successful candidate will have considerable clinical experience in a Higher Education Institutional context, a demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and have a track record of success in supporting and representing a team at a senior level and driving through change.
To fill this role, the candidate will be an excellent team player, reliable and a good communicator. You must be committed to the highest quality of service and to ensuring an outstanding student experience, as well as your own professional development. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of, and empathy for the needs of a unique, diverse and international student community, including experience of having worked with students from BAME backgrounds.
