About the department
The Secretariat team sits within the Governance and Legal Services Department which supports good governance for Goldsmiths and ensures compliance with its many statutory and regulatory responsibilities.
About the role
This is a role that is required to work closely with Council members and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that the most senior decision-making meetings operate to a high-standard, fulfil their statutory and regulatory duties and deliver on Council’s ambitions for improved and streamlined processes.
About the candidate
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and keen Governance Officer to join our small friendly and busy team. You will provide administrative support for Board and executive-level meetings, ensuring they are organised effectively and run smoothly. This includes preparing meeting packs, supporting the administration of meeting outputs such as minutes and actions, and helping to ensure Non-Executive Directors are fully supported in their roles. You will also manage and prioritise activity within the team’s high-volume Secretariat inbox, ensuring queries and actions are progressed appropriately.
