Video Production Assistant (Graduate)
Goldsmiths is looking for a talented and flexible graduate to help us create videos that communicate what Goldsmiths does to the outside world. The successful candidate will work within our video team to set-up, record and edit a wide range of video content for the Goldsmiths website, YouTube and social media channels.
The Communications video team plans and produces the majority of Goldsmiths’ corporate film output, often about Goldsmiths research projects (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBoG6ifBdWmOplnVHjQhgTwq4zVqOmfvS) or student life (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBoG6ifBdWmP7i-v51_rC_l2Hpla4d7Wc).
Managed by our Visual Content Editor, the post-holder will get the opportunity to learn on the job and develop their pre-production, filming and post-production skills. They’ll also work with stakeholders and contributors to help create our videos in accordance with the Goldsmiths brand.
We are looking for someone who is already making their own films and has solid experience of filming, interviewing, lighting, sound and editing but hasn’t had the opportunity to make videos as part of a professional role. Experience with photography and making graphics would be beneficial.
You’ll be working as part of our Communications team, which is made up of experts from a range of backgrounds (corporate comms, newspapers, TV, social media, video production, marketing, web development and design). We’ll provide on the job training and support passing on our knowledge to help you get a strong foundation for a future career in communications.
