About the Department
The Communications, Marketing and Recruitment (CMR) department plays a central role in telling the Goldsmiths story to our key audiences. The department covers internal communications, media relations, strategic communications, brand and design, digital (website, video and social media), marketing, business partnering, and UK and International recruitment. Colleagues are encouraged to be ambitious, committed to the learning and development of themselves and others, keen to work across conventional boundaries, and driven by the desire to play their part in the delivery of an excellent student, colleague and external audience experience.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and creative content specialist to lead on the development of compelling digital content for Goldsmiths. This role plays a key part in delivering impactful student recruitment campaigns – including Open Days, programme launches, conversion, and Clearing – by creating engaging content across our primary marketing resource, the Goldsmiths website. With editorial oversight of the Study section, you’ll ensure content is accurate, accessible, and student-focused. You'll also support the production of emails, video content and printed materials, reporting on performance and collaborating with teams across the university.

You’ll be a confident and collaborative content creator, with proven experience in delivering high-quality digital marketing materials. You’ll have a sharp editorial eye, excellent writing skills, and a good grasp of accessibility, SEO, and user experience principles. Comfortable managing multiple projects, you’ll be proactive and detail-oriented – able to lead on updates to key web content and support wider campaign delivery. Ideally, you’ll bring experience of working in higher education or a similarly complex organisation, with a strong understanding of prospective student audiences and a passion for creating content that drives engagement and action.
