Researcher and Research Manager

Sonic street technologies (SST), such as Jamaican reggae sound systems, originate in marginal urban communities across the Global South, often playing a key role in popular culture. The Researcher and Research Manager and will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the management and successful delivery of this ERC funded Consolidator grant and will report to Julian Henriques (PI). The job will include: overseeing the project’s program of work; timelines and events; managing financial resources and ERC reporting; conducting and coordinating research work; supervising and supporting local Research Agents in the field. The candidate will also develop a sound framework for interdisciplinary collaboration, data management/sharing and communications, to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives and outputs. The Researcher and Project Manager will liaise with project researchers and partners via email, telephone, video link and face-to-face.
