The English Language Centre (ELC) is an Academic Area within the School of Arts and Humanities.  The ELC runs full-time award-bearing programmes: International Foundation Certificates and Graduate Diplomas; pre-sessional programmes and in-sessional courses.  The ELC has 9 permanent academic members of staff, a number of Associate Lecturers, as well as a current administrative team of 1.

This new role is key in supporting departmental operations and infrastructure. It is also student focussed in terms of managing incoming enquiries from prospective students; monitoring students’ attendance and ensuing that the ELC’s website presence is up to date.  The role holder will support the Programme Co-ordinators and the Centre Manager.

You will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a personable nature and a demonstrable passion for working with international students within Higher Education.   You will be enthusiastic and reliable, a good communicator, work well within a team and also be able to make decisions and work independently.
