Lecture in Fine Art Critical Studies (0.7 FTE)

The Department of Art is looking for an artist/academic with an active research programme to teach critical studies on the BA Fine Art and the MFA Fine Art. Our Critical Studies teaching is research-led across both programmes and draws on conversations, knowledge and practices from art history, philosophy, cultural and environmental studies, political theory and performative knowledge practices, in dialogue with recent and current art practice in a global context. The Department of Art is committed to de-colonise its curriculum and so welcomes applications from applicants with an interest in BIPoc experiences and histories, decolonisation, ecology and climate justice and feminism LBGTQ+ perspectives
You will be an artist/researcher with a professional record of international standing, and will have experience of teaching in HE Fine Art. You will demonstrate a serious engagement with your own research or art practice and be responsive to the varied and specific needs of those on this strongly student-centred course.
