Lecturer in Education - PGCE Modern Foreign Languages

For this post we are seeking an individual who can contribute to the PGCE programme with a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages. A PGCE with Qualified Teaching Status and recent teaching and curriculum development of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) in the secondary school or relevant professional experience of supporting MFL in teacher education programmes are essential for this post. A PhD in Education or cognate discipline and experience of supervising undergraduate and masters level projects is desirable. The candidate will support Secondary partnership with schools, relating to Modern Languages ITE, including mentor training, establishing and maintaining good quality school placements; liaison with schools; and supporting school mentors. They will contribute to the teaching and support of other programmes as appropriate within the Department.
