Lecturer in Computing
The Department of Computing is a vibrant, innovative and intellectually stimulating environment in which to work and study. The department has pioneered a unique view of computing as a creative practice-based discipline: we pride ourselves both on pushing the boundaries of computer science research and on teaching our students to be innovative and practical professionals, able to bring creative solutions to industry and to society.
Teaching Requirements: We are looking for people who can teach C++ with a creative focus. You should have experience with creative coding frameworks such as OpenFrameworks, and/or Cinder, Unreal engine. At undergraduate level you will be teaching 2d and 3d graphical programming, audio, interaction with devices such as webcams and XBox Kinect. At postgraduate level you will be teaching advanced graphical programming skills with a focus on a deep understanding of graphics pipelines as well as underlying mathematical concepts behind graphics programming.
Scholarship Requirements: We are looking for candidates with an established practice either as a Creative Coder or Digital Artist or as a coder in the creative, games, or special effects industries.
