About the role
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable individual to join the Special Collections and Archives team within Library Services as Curator (Goldsmiths Textile Collection).
Reporting to the Special Collections & Archives (SCA) Manager, the post holder’s main responsibilities are the management, care and accessibility of the Goldsmiths Textile Collection (GTC). This includes supporting researchers, collections management and the planning and delivery of student, staff and public exhibitions and events in the Constance Howard Gallery (CHG), with a view to enhancing the student experience.
This post will be based on campus in Deptford Town Hall.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will be educated to first degree level in a relevant subject or have equivalent experience, as well as a professional qualification in museum or heritage studies, or substantial experience with a relevant collection. You will have experience of delivering workshops, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ab ability to take initiative and self-direct.
