About the Department

The Wellbeing Clinic is a new service, working with closely supervised therapies students and staff to provide free and discounted counselling and psychotherapy to residents in South East London. Located on the Goldsmiths campus, the clinic offers a generic service, and is also developing culturally sensitive services and training, focusing particularly on racially and religiously minoritized service users. The focus is on prevention and early intervention and the vision is to extend in to family support and youth services.

About the Role

The Clinical Lead will work alongside the Clinic Service Manager to shape and then deliver the Goldsmiths Wellbeing Clinic. You will ensure the appropriate delivery of all clinical aspects of this new service, personally undertake client assessments, the selection of suitable student therapists, make allocations, and coordinate supervision. You will also provide some of the supervision yourself.

About the Candidate

You will provide expert clinical leadership, hold a Level 7 therapeutic qualification, and be accredited by a professional body. Skilled in psychodynamic and CBT modalities, you’ll champion diversity and inclusion, ensure GDPR and safeguarding compliance, and bring experience supporting racially and religiously minoritised groups.

Benefits

We have generous benefits – an agile working environment, 28 days’ annual leave plus 6 paid closure days (4 at Christmas and 2 at Easter) plus all Bank Holidays, great transport links, a defined benefit pension scheme, support for professional development, and a broad range of wellbeing initiatives such as staff choir, running club, and creative writing classes.
