Goldsmiths, University of London is a world-leading centre of educational excellence where ground-breaking research meets innovative teaching and thinking. We're looking for inspiring and talented people to help build on our global reputation while also growing personally in a true learning organisation.

About the team

The Access, Engagement and Success team is at the beating heart of our strategy to ensure every single Goldsmiths student achieves their very best, working with colleagues and students across the entire student lifecycle to widen access, increase participation and engagement and improve outcomes. The team also works in partnership with the Students’ Union (SU) to centre and amplify the student voice.

About the role

The Access and Participation Manager is a leadership role within the Access, Engagement and Success team, responsible for design, delivery and evaluation of a wide portfolio of access and participation interventions as per the university’s 2025-26 to 2028-29 access and participation plan.

You will lead a small team of practitioners delivering access and participation work, ensuring that our activities deliver their intended impact and are appropriately evaluated and reported and continuously improved. You will be a persuasive advocate for access and participation across the wider university, working with colleagues in the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre to convene the university’s new Equality of Opportunity Community of Practice.

You will work with stakeholders to maintain core monitoring tools such as the access and participation plan (APP) progress tracker and issues and risks log. You will be an expert on the experiences of prospective and current students from underrepresented backgrounds, providing advice to senior leaders and to professional services and academic colleagues across the wider university.
